I love this job. It wasn't that many years ago that I had to make an emergency call to another dear friend to watch my three kids so I could bring my fourth child into the world, and now that the roles are reversed a little bit, it's SO EXCITING to be in this position, knowing that a baby is about to make it's appearance without any pain and anguish on my part (even though I feel a smidge of guilt that my friend gets to do that part). And tomorrow, I will get to hold a brand new infant and cuddle it and snuggle it and then give it back to it's mother and still get a good night's sleep.
I CAN'T THINK OF A BETTER WAY TO CELEBRATE MOTHER'S DAY WEEKEND!!!!!!
CAN YOU??!!

Oh, how neat!
!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I can't believe it!!!! She had her baby! Little baby Aubrey (is that how you spell her name?)! Congratulations to Becky!
Oh! What a super fun job! I felt reeeeeally bad last year when I had to call my friend at 1am EASTER MORNING to ask her to change her Easter plans and come stay with my kids while I went to the hospital! :) I hope she felt at least a little how you are feeling (and I know she does, she was great about it).
I'm a little jealous actually... because I think I'm finally over my "do I really want to be around small children?" phase and on to the "hey, if you need someone to hold that babe I've got my own all pretty independent now" phase.
That is definitely an exciting way to celebrate Mother's Day! And the cute little baby will be bound to have her birthday on Mother's Day once in a while! How fun for mother and daughter! :) Congratulations to the lucky mommy!
Yes! Especially that snuggle and then give it back part. That's what I'm going to ask for for mother's day. Have a great one. :)
The best thing about that job is being the first to know. And what a good friend you are! Happy Mother's Day!
Happy Mother's Day! Hope you had a special day! You deserve it!
